Biden knows it's a lie. He is a liar. It's how he gets elected.
Considering that Biden is behind VAWA, it is obvious that he has a dog in the fight and we are (those of us with a brain stem) well aware of his complete lack of credidbility on the issue.
Anyone else notice the ratio is back up to 1 in 5 from 1 in 4?
I would pay to see Biden confronted with an endless parade of men falsely accuse of rape along with their families.
It is common for people to make off-hand comments about a politician as ignorant or stupid for pursuing a certain course of action that defies common sense, an informed understanding of a subject, or when the politician's values are different from the person doing the criticizing. Sometimes the politician is well aware that their actions are immoral, unethical, illegal, unfair, and destructive to certain people individually and as a group.
Maybe Biden really buys into the rape lie or maybe he is pandering to the women's/progressives vote. Maybe Biden wants to see families and men weakened so government will have even greater relative power over the people and especially men.
Politicians are not distant mother-father queen-king figures who surprisingly care and love us. Nor are politicians intermediaries governing us with the consent of Heaven.
I would pay to see Biden's face pelted repeatedly with a barage of raw rotten eggs.
The word "rape" is meaningless.

I think he's just a chivalrous male politician, that's all. He doesn't know a thing.
He's just like the late Senator John Pastore from Rhode Island. He's always been written up so nice.
That guy was a lot more than just giving grant money to PBS.
It saddens me to read that you think Biden is a "joke". It saddens me also to know that you think Ashley Judd is lying.

Atlas, it is an interesting question. Politicians will often make claims which they know full well to be nonsense, simply because they feel the need to pander to certain constituencies or interest groups. In reality, it is not really possible for anyone to survive in politics without being dishonest at least some of the time, not least of which is because much of the electorate is not really mature enough to handle an honest discussion of many issues or face up to tough choices. The public largely gets the liars they deserve.
I am sure that a lot of politicians promote feminist nonsense knowing full well it is nonsense, but simply for the sake of placating noisy interest groups and pandering to female voters. And most political strategists, advisers and staffers tend to be fairly cynical and elitist, and assume that most of the public are morons who will be easily swayed by the most lazy, emotive, and manipulative messages.
In the case of Joe Biden, I fear he is not simply pandering. I think he really is a true believer in the cause.

Yeah, it's funny how they play a game of 'Dutch auction' with these statistics. It is a bit like in the past feminists would claim that 95% of DV involves a male perpetrator and female victim. As enough cases of female DV began to come to light, they eventually began to revise the figure down to 80%.
It is as if to say, 'you have caught us out on a really blatant lie, so now we will try a slightly less blatant lie and see if it washes'. Err, sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Once people know you are a pathological liar, they tend to disregard everything you say.

No one said she was lying. The point is that regardless of whether her story is true, it was not rape.
Why wouldn't we think she was lying? Women lie about rape all the time in this culture.
Making up such a story would be a fine way for her to get on 'Oprah.'
My son was drummed out of school by a FRA last year. I suggest we go back to "segregated" schools. Men and Women go to separate schools, for the protection of young men, of course.
My sons was just about killed in jail. After we picked him up from jail he flinched every time we drove past a young women,
I was so relieved when my youngest boy did not want to go to college. He is joining the Marines. It is probably safer.

You have my deepest sympathies. I know the feeling,and I agree with everything you've said except this:

These days, the military is a hotbed of false rape accusations.Thanks to feminists, there is literally nowhere a man can run to to be safe among other men from female violence or false rape accusations.As soon as feminists find out about such a safe haven,they bust down the doors and institute gender quotas.
Women are the only ones allowed to be safe among their own gender.It is now law.
