Man accused of falsely reporting sexual abuse

A Fort Edward man was arrested after being accused of making a false sexual assault report. That's according to the New York State Police in Greenwich.

Police say Eugene Kenneth Groesbeck, 31, called an anonymous hot-line on Saturday, June 11 and claimed there had been sexual abuse and maltreatment of a 13-year-old girl. After an investigation it was determined that Groesbeck made the report without any factual basis.

Groesbeck was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court on Tuesday, June 21 at 3:30 p.m.

How did they find who called if it was an anonymous hotline?

Also, I wonder what the fuck his motive was.

Anon 1:58,

That went through my mind as well. Guess those hotline's aren't quite as anonymous as they would like you to believe.

I'd have to think there is some form of mental illness on this one.

If males make false rape accusations, Im sure the percentages that are charged are much higher than the percentages of females that are charged.
Men are treated as "full citizens", fully responsible for their actions, and as we can see, we still treat "women as children", and hence "not fully accountable" for what they do.

Toll-free #888, #800, etc. land lines have for years displayed callers name and phone number to the organization/firm being called. Cell to cell calls are known to most people that if you want more privacy then block out your name and number.

For several long years (at least) cell phone calls and emails have been getting vacuumed up and stored onto government super-computers. Probably the same is true of land line calls at this point. Welcome to the modern plice state.
